About the Artist关于艺术家

New York-based artist Judy Fox creates ceramic and resin sculptures depicting human and animal life forms, often with mythological inflections, addressing feminist and erotic themes. Her forms are finely detailed and painted in casein. She is associated with contemporary figuration and hyperrealism.

Fox received a Masters in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU. She has received two NEA grants, an award from the “Anonymous Was a Woman” foundation, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. In 2006, she was granted a fellowship with John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.
