Richard Long is a British sculptor known for his contribution to Land Art. His work frequently uses photography, text, and maps to reflect terrains and walks he has taken through them. In other cases he creates sculptures with rocks found in the landscape, often in circular or linear configurations.
Long’s work is featured in many collections around the world including the Tate Modern in London and the Hearst Tower in New York, as well as numerous galleries. He was also the recipient of the 1989 Turner Prize
